Arrival in Jordan as scheduled, where you will be met by our English-speaking representative, who will assist you with obtaining your visa, collecting your luggage, and completing customs procedures. (Visas cost USD 57 per person and must be paid in cash upon arrival for all nationalities.) You will then be transferred to Amman and assisted with check-in at your hotel.

Today, we drive north of Amman to Jerash, the finest example of a Roman provincial city in the Middle East. You will visit Hadrian's Arch, the Hippodrome, the Colonnaded Street, the Cathedral, the Jerash Archaeological Museum, the North Theatre, and the South Theatre.

In the afternoon, we return to Amman for a city tour. Jordan's capital is a safe, friendly, and modern city with a rich history. The ancient Citadel dominates the old city and is home to the Byzantine Church, the Temple of Hercules, and the Umayyad Palace. Amman was known in the Old Testament as Rabbath Ammon and, during the Greco-Roman period, as Philadelphia. You will also visit the Roman Amphitheater, the Archaeological Museum, and the Jordan Folklore Museum before returning to your hotel in Amman. (Breakfast included)

After breakfast, we begin our journey south toward Petra. Our first stop is Madaba, where you will visit St. George's Greek Orthodox Church, home to its famous 6th-century AD floor mosaic of the Eastern Mediterranean. The mosaic depicts the pilgrimage routes to the Holy Land and is one of Jordan's most treasured archaeological masterpieces.

Our next stop follows in the footsteps of Moses at Mount Nebo. According to tradition, this is where Moses looked out upon the Promised Land before his death. Although he never entered it, many believe he was buried on or near Mount Nebo. Here, you will visit the Memorial of Musa (Moses) and a 4th-century church, which was excavated and restored by Italian Franciscan priests in 1933. The panoramic viewpoint offers breathtaking views of the Jordan River Valley, the Dead Sea, Jericho, and Jerusalem.

Not far from Mount Nebo lies the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth and the world's largest natural spa. Situated 417 meters (1,373 ft.) below sea level, the Dead Sea is one of the world's greatest natural wonders. Its mineral-rich waters and therapeutic mud are renowned for their health and beauty benefits. With its unique microclimate and exceptionally high salt content, visitors can effortlessly float on its warm waters while enjoying the famous mineral-rich black mud, valued for its healing properties for thousands of years.

In the evening, we arrive in Petra, where you will have time to settle into your hotel. (Breakfast included)

Breakfast at the hotel is followed by a tour of the Rose-Red City of Petra. The city is believed to have been established in the 6th century BC by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and built a prosperous commercial empire that extended into Syria. Despite repeated attempts by the Seleucid king Antigonus, the Roman general Pompey, and Herod the Great to bring Petra under their control, the city remained largely in Nabataean hands until around 100 AD, when the Romans redirected the caravan routes that had once brought Petra its great wealth.

Petra continued to be inhabited during the Byzantine period, when the former Roman Empire shifted its focus east to Constantinople, but gradually declined in importance. The Crusaders built a fortress there in the 12th century before eventually abandoning it. Petra remained largely unknown to the outside world until the early 19th century, when it was rediscovered by the Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt.

The approach to Petra is unforgettable, whether on horseback or on foot through the Outer Siq, followed by a walk through the narrow Siq itself. The Siq opens dramatically onto the Treasury, Petra's most iconic monument. A local guide will provide a brief history of the city. During your visit, you will also see Pharaoh's Castle, the Triumphal Arch, the Amphitheater, and the Monastery.

We then continue to Mount Nebo, where you will visit the Memorial of Musa (Moses) and a 4th-century church that was excavated and restored by Italian Franciscan priests in 1933. In the morning, we depart for Allenby Bridge, where you will meet our Israeli representative at the border, who will assist you with the crossing procedures. We begin our tour with an introduction to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives before walking down to the Garden of Gethsemane. We then visit the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), the last remaining section of the ancient Temple in Jerusalem. If conditions permit, we will also visit the Temple Mount.

Continuing in the footsteps of Jesus, we follow the Stations of the Via Dolorosa, the "Way of Suffering," leading to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, traditionally believed to be the site of Jesus' crucifixion and burial. Along the way, the Via Dolorosa passes through the vibrant oriental souq (bazaar) of the Old City. At the end of the day, we visit King David's Tomb and the Room of the Last Supper before transferring to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jerusalem. (Breakfast included)

Today, if security conditions permit, we will drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, the traditional birthplace of Jesus. It is the oldest church in the world that has remained in continuous use. In the afternoon, we enjoy a leisurely stroll through the picturesque village of Ein Karem, traditionally believed to be the birthplace of John the Baptist. Overnight stay in Jerusalem. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Ben Gurion Airport for your departure. Our representative will assist you with the departure formalities to ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey. (Breakfast included)
